About the Helping with Hands foundation

Helpin with Hands - Care Farm Heiveld

The Barenbrug family has set up the Barenbrug Helping with Hands Foundation. With this foundation, employees are encouraged to contribute to charitable projects by lending a hand, whereas the foundation provides financial support where needed.

 

The Helping with Hands Foundation is a non-profit public benefit institution (PBI). The objectives of the Foundation are the support of charitable projects, including but not limited to charitable projects in the field of environment, education and sports. This is in accordance with Barenbrug's views on sustainable business and corporate social responsibility.

What kind of projects will qualify for support?

Employees may submit a wide range of charitable projects. This includes, but is not limited to charitable projects in the field of environment, education and sports. To realize the project, a physical and active contribution of a team of five or more Barenbrug employees is needed.

 

What does the support comprise?

The Helping with Hands Foundation supports projects that have been approved by the Foundation’s Board by offering employees paid leave of absence to participate in the project. If required, the Foundation will  provide a financial contribution.
