Barenbrug Nr. 1 in Australia’s Forage Value Index
March 2024, Australia - We are extremely proud that Barenbrug's perennial ryegrass, Italian ryegrass and English ryegrass occupy a No 1 position on the FVI in all of Australia's dairy cattle regions and even often occupy the top 3 on the index entirely.
The Forage Value Index (FVI) is an independent rating system that helps Australian dairy farmers and their advisers make more informed decisions when selecting perennial ryegrass cultivars. It provides an accurate, reliable and independent assessment of the potential economic value of perennial ryegrass cultivars across different dairy cattle regions in south-eastern Australia. This index helps Australian farmers improve agronomic performance and increase economic advantage in dairy farming. Barenbrug's number 1 ryegrasses (and all top 3 cultivars) will help increase grassland productivity at key times of the year and contribute to increased farm profitability.
