Barenbrug Holland Marketing Team helps out at Care Farm Heiveld
On Tuesday, April 15 2025, the Marketing Communication team of Barenbrug Holland put on their yellow HWH shirts again and got to work with great energy. This time, the 13-person team helped out at care farm Heiveld in Milsbeek. Together with the staff of the care farm, they worked on several jobs during the day.
About the Location
In Milsbeek, the care organization Dichterbij has a nice place for supported living and working. Care farm Heiveld has three houses, two apartments, and a daytime activity center. The 15 residents and visitors have mild to severe intellectual disabilities, often combined with difficult-to-understand behavior.
The Project Day
There was plenty to do on the large care farm! A new, easy-to-maintain front garden was made, so the place looks nice and tidy. A screen was also built around the recycling area. The meadow for the cows and pigs was made bigger and re-seeded, and the vegetable garden got a fresh look with new plants. It was a great workday. Even though bad weather was expected, the sun was shining all day. The residents came by often to take a look. Although our visit caused a bit of excitement, the residents were very thankful. At the end of the day, the team received a handmade gift from them as a thank-you. In short: it was a successful day and a great project!
