Barenbrug USA Partners with ODOT to Adopt a Road
Barenbrug USA has taken an important step toward supporting the local community with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) through its Adopt-A-Road program. With a newly issued permit, Barenbrug USA has officially adopted a two mile stretch of roadway near its property and neighboring businesses in Tangent, OR.
About the Location
Barenbrug USA has adopted a section of roadway in Oregon through the Adopt-A-Road program. This program is part of a statewide effort to keep roadsides clean, safe, and visually appealing, while also protecting the natural environment for future generations. By taking responsibility for this stretch of road, Barenbrug is showing its commitment to both the community and the environment.
The Project Day
To kick off the initiative, 13 Barenbrug employees volunteered for the very first clean-up. In just two hours, the team managed to collect seven large bags of trash – together spending 26 hours of their time giving back to the community.
It wasn’t only about picking up litter. Working side by side gave employees the chance to strengthen teamwork and share pride in making a positive impact. The clean-up was a visible step towards a cleaner environment and a great way to start this long-term project.
With this commitment to return four times a year, Barenbrug is helping keep Oregon’s landscapes beautiful.
